The dry kiln complex consists of the kiln office and control room, wood waste fired boiler, kiln and two cooling sheds, one on each side of the kiln.

Our dry kiln is an Irvington Moore computerized double track steam heated conventional kiln with a capacity of 100,000 board feet charge on a 7/4 count.

We have drying schedule programs for each thickness and width of lumber. Steam is supplied by a 500 horsepower boiler.

In 2010, we will add a triple length “continuous dry kiln” which is the most recent technology in drying southern yellow pine lumber.  Drying will be accomplished with 30% reduction in woody biomass fuel required as compared to the conventional method.
